Corydon Capitol State Historic Site: first person as Elizabeth English Pennington, wife of Dennis Pennington, and the person who insisted that education be free for all children in the state of Indiana, the first state to put such a provision in the constitution. [Also, Mandy’s great-great-great-grandparents.]
